News Headlines – Fri 9th

Today\’s one to watch has got to be PWA Pozo – tune in to the live ticker and elimination ladder to see how the double elimination progresses. On day three yesterday the single elimination went to Victor Fernandez from young Philip Köster, while Daida took the spoils from an all-Moreno women\’s final…

But what really kept us interested was the Brit performance – Proffitt took out Kauli Seadi in round two to join Williams, Skye, and Swift in round three of the single. They progressed no further but are fighting up through the double right now. Unfortunately Phil Horrocks had a worse day as he went down to arch-nemesis Jules Denel in pretty shitty conditions – at least he can keep us all bang up to date in the Boardseeker forums though. Anyway, here\’s our Alfie\’s day three newscast.

So, what else is going on? Well, the / Shadowbox Gorge Jump-Off drew to a close over on mainland America. There\’s another movie here, and some blogging here, but you\’ll have to wait until the weekend for the final video and results.

After our recent reports on Ireland\’s west coast, we\’re red-faced to have overlooked IR-600, Ronan McGuire. To make amends, may we direct you to his latest movie and ongoing blog – the lad\’s got some skills alright…

Thanks to Dan Ellis for drawing our attention to Mistral\’s new 2010 / 2011 brochure, featuring Dan alongside Brit freestyler Max Rowe. Check it out.

And finally, those little monkeys at Windsurf Britain have declared that tea\’s no longer just for chimps with the discovery of a packet of Lifeboat Tea at the bottom of Coxy\’s garden. Go one then – stick the kettle on!
