News Headlines – Mon 27th

It\’s all eyes firmly on Sylt in Germany right now for the PWA Colgate World Cup, and pretty much all hands on deck as far as pro windsurfers are concerned. It\’s not been so windy yet, but plenty of SUPing and the Freestyle rounds started yesterday and continue today. And the Brits? Bubble\’s through against Leo Ray to the third round but Max Rowe\’s fallen to Canada\’s Soltysiak in round 2. More at pwaworldtour.com – and watch the action live here.

If that\’s too much to take in, here\’s the one and only Robby Naish with edited highlights from yesterday

Also in Sylt, Iballa Moreno takes her camcorder behind the scenes with team Severne, North Sails and sister brand Fanatic show off their stands. On the blogs we have Brits Dan Ellis, John Skye, Max Rowe and Ben Proffitt actively posting from Germany.

Way out west in the infinitely warmer climes of Maui, Ho\’okipa\’s started working again – and Tatania Howard\’s certainly been enjoying herself. Meanwhile Rebecca at windorwithout has spotted a new board from Simmer, as ridden by the newly engaged Kai Katchadourian.

In 30-knot north-westerly winds with a 10-foot North Sea swell, last weekend\’s honeypot British location had to be NorfolkAleksy Gayda and his dad Dave made the trip up from Canvey to a meaty looking East Runton, and they weren\’t alone. Sounds like Fraisethorp was working too, while it was float and ride out west at Newgale according to the Boards forums

And finally, back home in Britain, Adam Sims has been on Fat Face photoshoot duty down in Cowes, trying hard not to mow down their over-confident snapper – and look out for the brochure to see his “chicken legs” put to good use for the promotion of socks! More here.
