Alongside the flurry of activity around Victor Fernandez\’s World Wave title, it\’s only fair Jose \’Gollito\’ Estredo should get another go. He sewed up the PWA 2010 Freestyle Championship in August at Fuerte, and here\’s his sponsor Fanatic\’s tribute to their ultimate tricking machine from the lens of Carl Nyberg.
Gollito\’s only 21, but after four world titles is already a veteran of the freestyle circuit. But it\’s the kids coming up we (and he!) need to look out for. Like F2 / Vandal\’s 16 year-old Hamburger Jannes Thomsen showing some serious flare (and temperature tolerance) at home in Germany.
Talking of titles, Starboard are celebrating their two 2010 IFCA Slalom World Champions – 29 year-old Frenchman Sylvain Moussilmani (Starboard, Simmer) and 18 year-old beauty Alice Arutkin (Starboard, North Sails). More at boards.co.uk
And while you\’re their, in a shock interactive departure for our inky old sibling, why not vote for your favourite Victor Fernandez cover for Boards\’ January 2011 issue? Here are the options, and here\’s the poll.

Over on Maui, Constantin Gross on the elegant SimpleTravel – Watercentric Voyages blog is, in common with most of the island, still buzzing after the premier of Windsurfing Movie II at the Maui Arts and Cultural Center. But the scoop is that Windsurfing Movie III, due to start filming next year, could very well be in 3D. How cool could that be?
Out in Brazil, and couple of Brits\’ extended trips are drawing to a close: Stef Hilder and Sarah Bibby are into their last week at a cracking Ibiraquera, and we\’re looking forward to seeing the highlights movie. Already home from his Cearan odyssey, Max Rowe has a bit to say about his last port of call at Camocim: there\’s another film we\’re keen to see, due from Cold Water Productions early next year…
And finally to the UK, where over in the West Country second and third ranked British wavesailors Chris \’Muzza\’ Murray and George Shillito have been frozen off the water in favour of some Chuckle Brothers style \’extreme house painting\’ at the Polkerris staff digs. More here and here – what could possibly go wrong?!?
