News Headlines – Fri 28th

So, thanks to the \’Tunisia effect\’ it\’s all eyes on Egypt today – and who knows whether it\’s riots and revolution the country over tomorrow? Hence we had to find a new Egyptian movie to kick off with today. (We like to do our bit for solidarity here at Boardseeker!) And, er, here it is: Six Dicks for One Halleluja featuring German / Swiss crew Julian Wiemar, Meikel Thies, Valentin Böckler, David Osietzki, Adrian Beholz and Oliver Stauffacher.

Max Rowe, however, isn\’t in Egypt as planned – understandably, he\’s not best pleased to have lost out on a summer contract with Club Dahab, but on the plus side he\’s scored (or is that endured?) a session at Clacton instead … and more to the point it allows him to head out to Vietnam early for the forthcoming PWA event at Mui Ne. Looking south, as is our wont this time of year, check out these highlights of an Aussie summer with Severne crew Ben Severne, Mathias Moerman and Barneby Knight…

Out in Florida, the world\’s Olympic Class sailors are contesting the Rolex Miami OCR 2011 right now – and GBR\’s windsurfers Nick Dempsey and Bryony Shaw are both sitting in second place after six races. Good luck guys. Keep up with the latest results at and

To New Caledonia now, and Antoine Albeau has won the Grand Prix ANG 2011 downwind slalom series at Karikaté Beach ahead of 40 other racers. Sarah Hebert ruled the women\’s fleet. More at and here\’s the (French language) highlights reel…

And finally, back to Europe and the German super-show Boot in Dusseldorf right now, from where Daily Dose are posting clips. Now, the jury\’s still out on this one, but check out the Loop Simulator here. Hardly seems technically perfect, or perfect for technique for that matter, but we\’d certainly like to give it a go…
