Also talking forthcoming events, check out Kevin Pritchard\’s promo for the first annual American Windsurfing Tour, building on the success of last year\’s Pistol River Wave Bash the organisers have announced a 5-stop series that will also include Waddell Creek near San Francisco, Punta San Carlos in Baja, the east coast Hatteras Wave Jam, and finally Ho\’okipa Beach Park on Maui in October. In the UK this weekend, we hear rumour that the proposed FreestyleXpression session has been called for the good county of Essex. Point Clear near Brightlingsea could well be the venue for the trick jam – and all comers are welcome. Email Will Rogers here to get involved. Wilhelm Schurmann leads after day one, but the \’scandal\’ of the event is that warm-up event winner Jesper Vesterstrøm has jetted away from the racing for modelling duty in Paris with L\’Oréal.
