Already well underway on Hayling Island in the UK, Princess Anne visited the 2011 RYA Volvo Youth Nationals yesterday to witness a right royal tussle at the front of the RS:X fleet. Connor Bainbridge\’s three bullets sees him a very close second to defending champion Sam Sills who\’s been posting ones and twos all week. More at volvocarssailing.co.uk

Down in Italy, Point-7 racer Malte Reuscher has dominated the first stop on the Italian Slalom Tour in Andora securing first place in all three completed races on his AC-1 2K11 sails. More at point-7.com

Staying with slalom, out in the Caribbean St Joris Bay on Curacao is gearing up to host the ProKids, Junior, Youth and Masters IFCA Slalom World Championships 2011, 19-24 April. More at curacaochallenge.com
