In the nick of time on the penultimate day of freestyle at PWA Aruba before the slalom gets started, the clouds cleared yesterday to allow a full single elimination. No surprise to see Sarah-Quita Offringa rule the women\’s ahead of Laure Treboux, and we\’re just beginning to get used to seeing Steven Van Broeckhoven in charge of the men\’s now, emerging victorious ahead of Jose ‘Gollito’ Estredo, Kiri Thode and Tonky Frans. Full report here, see how today\’s double progresses live at pwaworldtour.com – and here from Kuma Movie is yesterday\’s men\’s final…

Our freestylers haven\’t had to wait so long for more competition though, as the Freestyle Xpression jam went down at a windy Weymouth last weekend. Next it\’s back to the UKWA Freestyle Tour this weekend at Mumbles near Swansea: more on that at ukwindsurfing.com
Onto the racecourse now, and the Défi Wind down in Gruissan, France, didn\’t have it quite so good this year – only enough wind for one race on the Friday, won by Patrick Diethelm and Karin Jaggi, but it didn\’t put a dampener on the partying. Here\’s a recap of the weekend\’s action – more at defiwind.com
Drawing to a conclusion out in Germany, it\’s the medal race for the RS:Xs at the ISAF World Cup Kiel today. Poland\’s Przemyslaw \’Pont\’ Miarczynski seems to have an unassailable lead in the men\’s fleet, while it\’s between Jessica Crisp and Moana Delle in the women\’s. Read the report at waterhound.com and keep up with today\’s racing at kieler-woche.de
But just getting started out at Texel in Holland it\’s the IFCA Slalom Worlds where we hear Bernd Flessner leads Damien LeGuen and Vincent Langer after the first elimination. Take a look around the facility and see his clients in action at mpora.com/bakeracademy – and here\’s a Good Call for a little light relief…
