With the PWA Canaries Tour still in full swing and the world\’s finest wavesailors relocated from Pozo to El Médano on Tenerife for the second round of World Cup Wave competition (event preview at pwaworldtour.com) let\’s take another little island-hop ourselves. Because over on Fuerteventura Steve Gibson took advantage of some killer North Shore conditions to run Get High Or Die II at Punta Blanca last weekend … after a potentially record-breaking holding period of 18 months! As yet there\’s no clue who won until the video\’s done, but there\’s a little more info at gibboinfuerte.blogspot.com and an exhaustive pic gallery on picasaweb.google.com

And finally, let\’s finish with a little movie from ex Neilson centre manager and now freelance UK coach Sam Ross. In one of the neatest little instructional clips we\’ve seen for a while, Sam examines the key skills of a vulcan to help us slide away this summer – with thanks to Phil and Danielle from getwindsurfing.com and Jon Moy from lifecinematic.com, more at sam-ross.co.uk
