Yesterday was Day 6 of the Fuerteventura Grand Slam. It is all about the slalom now and Antoine Albeau, who is hot on the heals of current leader, Bjorn Dunkerbeck had an a brilliant single elimination. He got a perfect start in the Final race and Dunkerbeck, although having incredible board speed, just didn\’t seem to have luck on his side. The second elimination begins today, so everything could change again. More information on the PWA Website. Here is the live feed of the event:
Heading back to Pozo for a moment, Starboard have released this incredible video of current tour leader, Philip Koster. It give you an idea of just how good he is, including possibly the cleanest pushy-forward landing ever as well some amazing wave-riding and scary-looking triple attemtps:
Cutre have also uploaded this clip of Philip Koster\’s triple attempt from a slightly different angle. The attempt also plays in slow motion, so you can see just how late he decided to let go!
Still in the Canary Islands, Sophia Regerbis has released this fantastic movie of the Tabou / Gaastra team of Alex Mussolini, Ross Williams, Jamie Hancock and Thomas Traversa during their Canary tour of the Pozo and Tenerife events:
