News Headlines – Tue 6th

We have to start today with more from last weekend\’s super-successful National Windsurfing Festival on Hayling Island. Full results from the freeride spectacular are now available on – and further to the winners we mentioned yesterday, kudos to Mike Brooks on winning the freeride fleet, Genevieve Knight-Hierro for first female, and huge respect to Emily Goodwin for ruling the turbo 15 fleet ahead of the boys. Talking of Muzza, he\’s making quite a splash on from a session down in Shoreham yesterday with Max Rowe and co, where the Tushy boy came off second best to a munching South Coast shorebreak. Moving away from the UK now, and the Reunion Wave Classic have published their winners for 2011: best team Steven Pichot, Colin Sifferlen and Camille Juban, best pro rider Colin Sifferlen, best local Pierre Godet, best move and best wipe-out Camille Juban. Out in South America, normal service has resumed at day two of the Mormaii Ibiraquera Wave Contest in Brazil as Kauli Seadi is back in charge having overcome Wilhelm Schumann in the double elimination. The movie and more at

Back to Europe, and after two races on day one of the Raceboard World Championships in Spain us Brits have more to cheer about – young Harriet Ellis is leading the women\’s fleet, while behind leading 9.5 fleet racer Curro Manchon we have John White in fifth place, third master Mark Kay in eighth, and third grand master Chris Gibson in 11th.
