News Headlines – Thu 15th

There can be only one headline today, and that\’s that Philip Koster has secured his 2011 PWA World Wave Championship crown and the event win over Ricardo Campello in a decisive display of dominance off Danish shores at KIA @coldhawaii PWA Klitmoller. Worthy of special mention, Thomas Traversa had the bit between his teeth to rattle his way up to third behind Victor Fernandez and ahead of Kauli Seadi. Meanwhile our British and Irish contingent also put on a great show – Ross Williams, John Skye and Phil Horrocks finished a strong =9th, while Jamie Hancock, Adam Lewis and Ben Proffitt were a creditable =17th. Unfortunately Timo Mullen was bottom of the pile in =33rd, while his brother Finn won a heat to finish =25th. But just because that\’s the end of competition doesn\’t make it the end of the action: tune into to catch the SURF Magazine Super-Session right now…
