Today\’s headline movie is the latest Brit pack freestyle flick – PWA freestyler and BWA wavesailing giant-killer Andy \’Bubble\’ Chambers enjoying his summer in Greece with footage from Club Vass and Prasonisi on Rhodes for the JP Young Gun Camp, courtesy of prasonisi.com, sofa-movielab.com, bryanmetcalf-perez.com. Andy\’s PWA freestyle and Club Vass partner in crime Max Rowe hasn\’t (yet!) branched out into wavesailing so won\’t be making the pilgrimage up to Tiree for this weekend\’s Wave Classic. He has posted an update from Sylt though, where he secured a top 20 PWA season finish at maxrowe.blogspot.com … and we gather from @maxrowek20 on Twitter that he\’s back down to a windy West Wittering Trench with @JamieK787 today. Watch this space for footage!
Having just celebrated their 30th birthday in Sylt, Max\’s board sponsor Fanatic are all about their newly released freeride / race 2012 right now. With online clips aplenty emerging from their Rail to Rail DVD, maybe the most interesting is of the totally retuned speed machines – check out this product presentation for the 2012 Fanatic Falcons. Following yesterday\’s mention of Rob Kent\’s British Open Raceboard victory at the weekend, it\’s only fair we draw your attention to the latest update on ukwindsurfing.com as Demon Design Sails celebrate their emphatic 2011 UK Cup and UK Inland series champion, Mark Kay … as well as rookie 2011 Raceboard World Champion, Harriet Ellis. Both were using the loft\’s VG7 raceboard sail to great effect. More at demonsails.co.uk

Back to the British Isles, and it looks like Timo Mullen\’s taking the scenic route up to Tiree – according to @TimoIR69 on Twitter he\’s gone via NW Donegal in Ireland where he seems to be trading goitas with fellow Severne rider Mikey Clancy (see mikeyclancy.com). And frankly, that\’s all the excuse we need to show you the latest presentation from Severne of their 2012 Blade ripping it up Down Under in the capable hands of Scott McKercher. And finally, as the UK wavesailing fraternity start driving north for the ferry to Tiree and the legendary Wave Classic (more at britishwavesailingassociation.com) it looks like the awesome weather forecast for this weekend could be a mixed blessing. While 30+ knot winds and huge seas could make the 25th Wave Classic truly spectacular, those same conditions might very well disrupt the CalMac ferry service and prevent the competitors from progressing any further than Oban! Keep an eye on the latest service status at calmac.co.uk
