News Headlines – Thu 24th

Probably the most exciting thing on the UK windsurfers minds right now is the forecast. Touching as much wood as possible, we are pretty excited about the potential of all the fronts that are building up in the Atlantic and heading our way. We aren\’t forecasters but you can be pretty certain that if you head over to bigsalty.co.uk you\’ll find what you want somewhere on UK shores in the next week.

There is so much wind that it may even blow the moustaches off a few of those Movember supporters. It\’s not too late to make your donations to the brave and foolhardy who have been forming their impressive tash\’s for charity. Jamie Drummond seems to be leading the charge in the UK (generous donations to Drummond please at uk.movember.com), whilst a few of the Austrian stylers have formed their own team – Teenage Moustache Hero Turtles.

Here is one of our movie offerings of the day. Watch as Francisco Goya gives, what we believe to be as one of the ultimate master-classes in float and ride wave sailing. Incredibly all on a sub 80l quad and 4.7m Eclipse at Hookipa Beach Park.

Heading over to mainland Europe and it looks like mixed news for Minds Wide Open producer Andre Paskowski. After an incredible month finally back on the water in Jericoacoara, Brazil, he returned home today and is straight off to hospital for yet more scans. Our thoughts go out to him for the best possible outcome. More on this at Boards.co.uk.

Keeping positive, the Minds Wide Open movie has been premiering to action sports fans world wide. With one of the most recent showings happened last night down in Shoreham, UK with Nik and Ant Baker. If you missed it before, then the outstanding trailer is below and be sure to head on over to mindswideopenmovie.com to get your hands on this must have DVD. Check out Ant Bakers picture gallery of the evening over on flickr.com

Finally, the Student Windsurfing Association are at it again. Students from far and wide will be journeying to Bristol tomorrow evening for a very WET weekend. WET DREAM III is unsurprisingly the event name and \’Stereotypes\’ will be commonplace at the Saturday night party. More at the facebook event or head to swa.co.uk.
