For those that missed it yesterday then, here is the very young and talented Oscar Carmichael. The video features the UK Junior Freestyle Champion in action during the summer of 2011. For a cool interview, check out this weeks Boardseeker features.
On to our next video and there is a new windsurfing film in the pipeline. This short teaser stars international riders Thomas Traversa and Olya Raskina in Madagascar. Enjoy The Moment.
Next up and it\’s day 4 of the ISAF RS:X Worlds. There were a few surprises in the fleets after very light conditions and it looks like the UK\’s Bryony Shaw is sitting in 4th place. Full results here.
With exceptionally strong winds lately, West Kirby has been receiving a lot of attention from the speedsters. Before we hit their blogs and videos check out the image on the left of a wind turbine in Scotland that just burst in to flames as a result of that very same weather. If anyone has any storm sailing pictures from the last few days, feel free to send them in to firstname.lastname@example.org and we\’ll throw up the best of the bunch.
To the speedsters then and here is a short clip from Martyn Ogier\’s (martynogier68.blogspot.com) whistle stop visit to Kirby. The clip shows one of his peak runs, just shy of 50 knots, in less than ideal conditions and if you want to hear what 50+knots sounds like, turn the volume up. More about the trip on blog.hotsailsmaui.com
Ant Baker has also been on the speed scene and put together a nice trip video, which can be found over on boards.co.uk. Steve Thorp was also in this epic \’Clash of the Titans\’ and managed a new personal best peak run, more on gps-speedsurfing.com.
We will wrap up for the weekend then with a blog post from PWA Freestyler, Max Rowe, who is on the way home after what looks like another great trip to Brazil. Check maxrowe.blogspot.com for more and further pics and videos are coming soon. Also this picture (left) from Ricardo Campello showing how to transport kit.
