News Headlines – Tues 13th

We kick off today with the Vietnam. A nice clip put together of \’One day in Vietnam\’, featuring Evgenyi Yurtaev (Rus-211). Filmed in the same sailing area as the PWA Freestyle event with some nice clean waves and some good action.

A quick news snippet relating to the above, and the PWA recently announced that the start of this years Freestyle Tour (in Vietnam), which was planned around the same dates in February as last year, is to be postponed by a month, to early March. Keep an eye on pwaworldtour.com for more.

A product come back for you and the legendary Maui Hookup is back in the UK thanks to seaspritesports.com. Any issues with down-hauling, then this is the ultimate tool. Check the picture on the left and head over to seasprites website to find your local retailer.

Round some of the pros now and first up is this nice photo set from PWA Freestyler Phil Soltysiak who scored epic conditions in Brazil recently – philipsoltysiak.com. Down-under again and things are looking up for Ben Proffitt (thewetdream.co.uk) who has recently got his hands on a \’rude\’ van for even more adventures into the bush. On twitter and Drummond (JamieK787) has been scoring the epic Esso Garage at Hayling Island today, despite a bit of a drop in temperature.

Marcilio Browne (marciliobrowne.com) has also posted recently about the Minds Wide Open Movie, having finally had a chance to sit down and analyse it properly he is happy to report that it gave him a \’good feeling\’. We like that, it also gave us a very good feeling, so if your in the mood, head over to mindswideopenmovie.com and grab your copy of this truly outstanding movie.

Now we try not to post just single moves very often but this one just defines new school freestyle. See if you can work out what is going on as Julien Mas performs a Skopu into Funnel…a what?!

From almost impossible moves to almost impossible names. Must be the ISAF RS:X Mens Worlds then. Leading after 5 races is Nimrod Mashich (ISR), 2nd Przemyslaw Miarczynski(POL) and 3rd Piotr Myszka(POL). For the UK and Elliot Carney is currently leading the charge in 6th place. The final wrap goes to Phil and Danielle from getwindsurfing.com, who have been enjoying a windy December in Dahab so far. If winter sun is on your mind then they are certainly worth considering.
