News Headlines – Tues 3rd

Lets open 2012 with a bang then. Watch this clip of Jose \’Gollito\’ Estredo, before his injury in Jeri, towards the end of last year. The quality is a \’bit\’ on the poor side but if you can look past that then you will see why Gollito is still considered one of the most progressive freestylers in our sport. Inventing new, powerful moves and literally bouncing through triple combinations, will we see him crowned World Champion in 2012? I guess that depends on whether he pulls out his forward-into-shaka, see for yourself.

From freestyle to waves and here is a cool clip of Fabrice Beaux with travelling buddy Ma Fele\’s. There\’s a lot packed into a small clip including some nice action from his \’homespot\’ in Oahu, Maui. Check it out.

Now to a windy France – with this speed video from Cyril Michel and Gautier Bourgeois. It\’s absolutely howing!

Talking of speed and it looks like the minds behind Ghosts of Speed – A speed surfing documentary, will be hitting the filming hard tomorrow. Find out more and follow the action on their facebook page. More action now and Andraz Zan has released his final part of his Adventure Trip in Egypt series, and perhaps the last clip we will see of 2011 PWA Freestyle World Champion, Steven Van Broeckhoven on his old gear.

And with that, let\’s crossover now to probably some of the biggest news of the New Year, as Steven is officially announced on JP/Neilpryde for 2012. It sounds like he has already been helping shape and develop next seasons boards and judging by this clip I\’m sure he will be fighting hard to hold the title for the coming year. More on jp-australia.com and check out the action and interview with the World Champion by none other than Jason Polakow himself.
