We kick off today\’s headlines with perhaps some slightly old news now, but Antoine Albeau\’s move to slalom had to be one of the biggest moves this year. Hunting through facebook there are already a few snaps of him on the kit. However, it looks like this is the first video clip of him trying out the new RRD boards. Here is some more current transfer news. Young Polish rider Maciek Rutkowski joins Loftsails for 2012. Speed-sailing news – Jacques van der Hout has beaten his on 50 knot record. It looks like the man is on a mission, travelling all over Europe purely to be the fastest man in the world. Check the full story on

We can only assume Ben Proffitt is kicking himself that this didn\’t come out a week earlier (not sure what we are talking about…check this video). \’Chicks picking up fat cheques\’! Recent Goya signing Junko Nagoshi has posted a bit of a press release via of her winning the 2011 Maui event and how she is motivated to win again in 2012 on the American Windsurfing Tour. Apparently she has been absolutely shredding at Hookipa, Maui since the New Year.

The final bit of news for this morning is that the Fuerteventura Wave Classic is back on – 17-24th March. Put the dates in your diary for what could turn out to be another monstrous year for the event and check out this video from last years event (thanks to for picking it out).
