News Headlines – Thurs 26th

We kick off this morning with news that Kai Lenny has signed with Hawaiian-based Maui Fin Company. MFC are celebrating 26 years producing fins and have signed Kai as a Hawaiian Water Ambassador, a role in which they will help him develop new windsurf and SUP fins. Congratulations to Kai and we look forward to seeing some sick new fins. More over at Boards.

A bit of a break from the barrage of freestyle videos we\’ve had recently as it\’s time for a bit of Slalom. Dutch speedster Teade de Jong had a chilly training session at Lauwersmeer and put together this video – rapid! You can find out more about Teade at his website.

Now, a clever reproduction of the classic windsurf flick RIP starring Robby Naish. Col Leonhardt got some great heli footage of his buddy cruising and has it set to the RIP soundtrack. A nice 2012 update of one our favourite windsurf films ever. Thanks to Windsurf Australia.

Fresh from his signing to Goya boards and sails, Marcilio Browne is relaunching his website. With some great shots from Maui already online, it\’s not quite finished just yet – but be sure to check back soon for the latest news from the PWA star. Brawzinho\’s site.

Another great website now, this time from photographer/videographer Michael Sumereder. Some truly inspirational wave, freestyle and lifestyle shots featuring the world\’s best windsurfers, including some from the set of the epic Minds Wide Open – go and have a look right now at the online site.

British freestyler Jamie Drummond has a quick update over on his website as he prepares for a trip to Cape Town.

We wrap up this morning\’s news with a video from Belgian Witchcraft Rider Olivier Pas tearing it up in France and Belgium. Some nice wave action and big backies.

That\’s all folks…swing back round this afternoon for the video update – it\’s going to be a good one!
