News Headlines – Fri 22nd

Good morning and welcome back for another windsurfing instalment.

We kick off with news from Globalshots about the upcoming Vassiliki Watersports Festival. Check for more. Here is little extract of what\’s going down in this action packed week: The programme includes an extra big Wildwind party on the opening night, long distance Catamaran Racing on the Thursday 28th. Friday 29th includes Laser Slalom Knockout Racing, Windsurf Slalom Racing and Club Vass beach party. More Slalom in Laser and Windsurf events as well as Dinghy and Catamaran Racing on the Saturday followed by a traditional Greek knees up, ending with a Mountain Bike race on the final day.

News from the Raceboard World Championships and it looks like it has all wrapped up after 11 races and soem healthy competition, check out this write up on starboards website by their team rider, Daniel Blinnikka. Here is what he had to say, \’at the Worlds in Yyteri I was happy to get my first adult medal, a bronze one. The wind was between 2 – 7 m/s and we sailed 11 starts. I had very close fight with CHK-15 Petr Kucera, my dad FIN-6 Juha Blinnikka and Rautio Sports Team mate FIN-66 Jon Törnwall. Read more –
