News Headlines – Thurs 26th

Right so let\’s put the final wrap on our (top of the page) PWA Slalom news with the write up from the last day of the event and the event video below. A nice interview from the winner himself, check it out…

Now on to the freestyle, Josh Willmot has produced yet another cracker from Blacklab and their trip to Fuerte, we\’ll have it ready to post this afternoon. The videos are going down a storm, so if you missed the previous ones, here they are again: #1 and #2. #3 includes Adam Sims taking to the mic, a few words from Martin Van Ochten and a whole bunch of freestyle clips, check it out.

Up next, fancy some coaching from two top end windsurfers? Well Shawna Cropas and Matt Pritchard are offering a few coaching clinics in 2013, you can check out all the other information and dates by clicking right here.

Firing around a bit of the social mediaosphere now and the updates are flying in about the heat draw for tomorrow. Max Rowe and Andy \’Bubble\’ Chambers will face eachother in their first heat, much like they did in Max\’s first ever PWA Fuerteventura event. However, it looks like Bubble is down with a badly timed case of the man-flu… Team Fanatic are being tracked over on their facebook page with their regularly updated event gallery, check that out here. Jamie Drummond is looking forward to facing 4x World Champion Gollito Estredo, should he pass through the first round and if the same situation happens to Sims, he will be up against Phil Soltysiak. Phil Richards is up against Fabrizi and whoever passes faces Kiri Thode. So it\’s an easy on for the UK sailors this time round…

If you\’ve had your head buried in the sand then you may have missed out on the news that the National Windsurf Festival is open for registration. Check the latest news from the event here and get signing up for what is bound to be the biggest event on the UK calendar.

Time for another video, this one is more of the amateur angle, which is cool to see. It shows that Pozo is not just a place for the pros, so if you fancy tuning up your jumping then check flights to Las Palmas, GC.

Finally, the forecast looks similar to the last two days out here in Fuerteventura, so we can expect some wind later on in the day, perhaps even earlier. So far it is currently in the right direction, it just needs to build, then the heats will be underway after the first possible start of 10.30am. Catch you later…
