News Headlines – Mon 1st

Good morning all and welcome back after what has been an action packed weekend on the PWA World Tour in Sylt. If you were unable to catch it then check out the highlights from an epic day one and two. On day one it was Gollito who enjoyed the limelight as he took victory ahead of Kiri Thode in the freestyle mens final. On day two Koester stole the show with his outstanding double forwards, impresive powerful wave rides and consistent backies. The female wave competitors had their chance to hit the water and now the Moreno twins will face eachother in the winners final and Karin Jaggi will be up against Laure Treboux in the losers final, this should all kick off first thing this morning. Whilst you are waiting, here\’s the highlight video from the first day.

If you are wondering what our headline image is all about, Alex Mussolini displayed probably the best wave 360 of the entire competition, earning himself a 10 point wave ride. With the winds set to stay for the week be sure to tune in each day to follow the action live over on our sister site –

Further afield we were sent in this absolute epic. Just check out Colin Sifferlen in New Caledonia. This is right at the top of our boardseeker favourites, the waves look absolutely epic!

From one heli-shoot to a more slightly downsized heli-shoot, check out these cool shots from a radio controlled heli-copter.

Finally, our last video for this morning comes from Mathias Genkel who made his way to the finals of the German Freestyle battle with a radical repotoire of moves.

We suggest you tune in to the PWA LiveStream as soon as possible as the action has already kicked off with the freestyle double whilst they await for the waves to build.
