With the recent Gwithian swell it looks like the updates are coming in thick and fast. These two come from partners in crime, Stefan Hilder and UK Female Wave Champ Sarah Bibby, include some awesome snap shots of the conditions and what we may be able to expect at the final stop of the BWA tour this weekend. With a popular turn out and a great social calendar we are sure it is well worth attending.
Fellow windsurfers from the South West, Julia Slack and Will Rogers also had a great weekend as Will celebrated his 30th birthday and had some great surf to go with it. Nope we aren\’t about to start posting everyone\’s birthdays, but this one had an epic cake, take a look here. We would be more than happy to do a windsurfing cake test, so please feel free to send us your creations…
Opening the video entourage of today is this second trailer for King of the Wesh, a free contest for all.
We like to be surprised here at boardseeker and here is a clip from a Felix Soder. Not a regular at posting videos but a good windsurfer, the now full time employed dentist shows his style in Dahab and his local spot of Fernham, also an area where Andre Paskowski first learnt to windsurf.
Talking of Andre, head over to www.rewarded-movie.com to check out his latest video. A 20 minute film on Gollito Estredo\’s life, where he came from and how his path lead him to his 5th World Title this year, truly confirming him as the king of freestyle. The movie should go live soon, so keep an eye on the website or head back here this afternoon where we will have it in our afternoon update. Remember these films are all produced out of the pocket of Andre Paskowski, he relies on donations to bring future high quality edits to our screens so be sure to hit the donation button on the website. Even a little can go a long way!
Back to Gwithian and here is a little video clip from George Shillito, inventor of the Trengrouse – a perfect straight legged backloop. He also caught the swell that Stef and Sarah made it out in and it looks like it really was pumping!
Coming up this weekend also is the next stop for the EFPT at Six-Fours Les Plage. Check out the final five in their video contest. The full videos will be shown at the event where the winners will be selected and awarded some pretty cool prizes. Check it all out here.
The updates from this weekends Aussie Kiss Student Windsurfing Festival just keep on coming. Adam Chubbock is stoked about the whole event and even more stoked about winning the freestyle contest and having his first go at tow-in windsurfing. Check out his update here. Fellow Club Vass windsurfers and also partners in crime Max Rowe and Bethany Mercer had a good time there and are migrating to Brazil in just a few days for a couple of months. Having been another injuried windsurf lady, Beth has been out of action for two months, so you can understand her excitment as she heads there for the first time. A popular place at this time of the year, Brazil is well worth the visit. Just check out this update from Phil Soltysiak.
Finally, another Club Vass instructor has been hitting the Cornish swells this weekend, or at least watching, we are not too sure, either way, check out the surf video he created from Fistral. Thanks to Ric Cleworth.
