Super X warmed up today, We got wind and sun, the wind was super patchy but everyone got out and tried to get over the sausages to the bemused crowd on the beach. Once the tide turned though, we kinda managed to get around the course in some form or another. To end the day a fun race was run, I’m not sure what the rules were, and the course did not seem that clear but the aim was to do duck gybes and jump over the buoys at various stages of planing. Whatever happened it was super fun and there were the usual pile ups and hilarious moments and plenty of cheating especially from race winner Clyde Waite, who blatantly sailed pass the last sausage when Matt Wemms, Chris Audsley and Adam Cropper were too busy trying to mount it (and each other) to notice. The sailors today were James Cox, Chris Audsley, Matt Wemms, Clyde Waite, Adam Cropper, Sam Stevens and Bob Shermerdine.
The beach crew who did a fantastic job are Mark Aggy, Dave “sunburnt” Hall
Ben Hulbert, Angus “I always whinge” Mcdonald Jenny “Marks mum”Gordon “Marks dad”
The kite kids – Adam and Dan and Rich Marsh from Naish UK
Official racing starts tomorrow at Avon beach, a sea breeze should get up just as it did today
