Rocking the Broch continues…

Day 2 remained quiet on the wind front but the clean 3ft swell where Dickie Gowers (BKSA big boss) spent most was too good for some riders to miss. Others stuck with the kites, but spent the day mountain boarding rather then on the water because it was not quite enough to stay upwind!

Day 3 was a different story. After a couple of hours of dubious wind it finally kicked in enough and decided on a direction so a beach could be chosen as the venue. This time it was held outside the Tufted Duck Hotel that hosted the riders and also was the beach where basking sharks and dolphins had been spotted earlier on in the week.

The wind was pretty offshore making it particularly gusty, but the amateurs and juniors gave it there best shot and an impressive performance. Also there were two new comer girls entering in the amateur ladies fleet and they rode really well making the conditions look much better then they really were.
