Dunkerbeck Breaks The Nautical Mile

Yesterday, Bjorn Dunkerbeck smashed the speed record for a Nautical Mile with an average speed of 41.14 knots. A nautical mile is a fair distance at 1853 metres. They are now focusing there attempts at breaking the World Speed Record, set by Finian Maynard, over a 500metre course.

In his quest for the overall speed record, Dunkerbeck is using custom sails with a super wide luff tube aimed to be more aerodynamic. He is using custom speed boards, but has already broken the production record on a stock T1.
