The Naish Speed Party, an ongoing series of speed events that take place all over the world, heads for South Africa. The race for the fastest Western Cape rider began this Saturday at MAC Cape Town at 2pm, and will be followed by 3 other events (Cape Town, Langebaan and Velddriff). The first competition is for the best 2 second average speed – the other events score max speed on a 250m course, 10 second average and one hour average. The Course is open for 3 hours and anyone with a GPS unit is welcome to attend. The organizers also have Naish Speed gear (and some spare GPS units) available.
If you are in Cape Town, then get to the nearest event and go fast. If you are not in Cape Town, then it is probably cheaper to pop down to the local shop and purchase your very own GPS speed watch type thingy.
