Twist of fate for Gonzo

Gonzalo Coesta Hoevel wins the Brazilian Formula Grand Prix.

The Argentine dominated the event held at Forteleaza in Brazil. The consistent trade winds delivered 15 knots, but the real added danger (to 1 metre wide boards) were the waves that were coming through the race course. Gonzo as he is known on the circuit was unable to compete on the last day due to his 1 metre wide formula machine taking an involuntary jump off a 1 metre high wave. He twisted his knee. His good results and new discard rule still meant that he could hobble away with a fist full of dollars.
