1st up to compete were the ladies pro\’s. Annalisa Dovey and Maggie Cleeve took on Jo Wilson, but despite both these two evidently improved riders Jo seemed to be on form and rode her way straight to the final. Dreya Wharry took on two new comers Vicky Heather and Emma from Hillhead. Both of these girls rode really well, but with the extra bit of competition experience and new exhuberence from her record breaking crossing Dreya took on Jo with Annalisa in the final.
Results: 1st Jo Wilson, 2nd Andreya Wharry, 3rd Annalisa Dovey
Now the men\’s… and what a standard!!!
Sam Kirby was shining out loud and proud demonstrating exactly the capabilities of the new Cabrinha Crossbow\’s. Now anyone who might have mentioned that these kites were no good for powerful kite loops may now stand silent!! Sam was busting out down loops and F16\’s bigger and better then the rest. Neil Hilder was loving the conditions and was knocking out flat 3\’s and sweet slim\’s and Ibby (Dave Ibbertson) was landing sick KGB\’s, slim\’s and down loops s bends. Denzil was going for the mobes and Ludo Brockway riding well. He has just had 2 weeks training with Aaron Hadlow and it showed. Other riders included Lewis Crathern, who despite looking very impressive was not quite nailing his landings and as such went out early on, Robin Snuggs rode solidly into 5th place just behind Denzil.
1st Sam Kirby, 2nd Neil Hilder, 3rd Dave Ibbertson
