The Eastbourne Extreme is a festival event that captures all aspects of windsurfing. There is plenty to do and watch, plus if you fancy a bit of competition then there will also be freewave and slalom events as part of the UKWA series. These are the details..
With the usual suspects such as the Eastbourne Skate Association, UK Windsurfing Association, Eastbourne Rowing Club, South East Kiting Association, Kent Land Yachting Club and Spray Watersports once more offering taster sessions, demonstrations and holding national competitions – Eastbourne Extreme 2007 will also have loads of exciting new additions to the event:
Thundercat Racing UK will be keeping the crowds entertained in between other water-based events with their adrenalin-fuelled power boat racing on the shores of the Extreme Beaches.
Brighton Kite Flyers and Kent Kite Flyers will be adding even more colour to the skies with their expert kiting techniques and novelty kites.
Planet Divers Diving Club will be bringing along their specialist Scuba Diving training pool so that visitors to Eastbourne Extreme can have a taste of the underwater sport at a special discounted rate.
Eastbourne Personal Watercraft Association will also be on the water showing off their jetski skills.
Trikke UK will be demonstrating the latest craze for 3-wheeled trikes that bring the thrill of deep-carving action sports like surfing and skiing to the good old pavement.
The Urban Shadows Eastbourne Parkour group will be running, jumping, climbing, swinging and vaulting their way around the Extreme site – all against the back drop of the beautiful Eastbourne seafront.

Eastbourne Extreme will appeal to those who like a bit of excitement in their lives, want to try new sports, see other daredevils perform stunts, and who wish to enjoy a weekend by the sea in Eastbourne.
The event is to take place at the Eastern end of Eastbourne Seafront, and will offer something for everyone with the Extreme Live Bands Stage, Beach Bar, Catering and a variety of different trade stands for a spot of shopping.
