The Cowes-based United Kingdom Sailing Association’s (UKSA) Wildcats is one of a nationwide network of clubs set up through the Royal Yachting Association’s Team 15 project for the windsurfers aged up to 15 to meet every week to hone their sporting skills.
The club also gives members the chance to compete against other Team 15 clubs around the country.
UKSA Wildcats will meet at different places around the Island, depending on weather conditions. These include Thorness Bay, Bembridge, Yaverland and Puckpool.
The club met on Tuesday from 5pm to 7pm and will meet every Tuesday until September. It may continue at weekends over the winter if there is demand.
Anyone interested can contact Chris Frisby at UKSA on 294941 or e-mail email@example.com.
Chris said: “The club offers tuition, equipment, buoyancy aids, wetsuit and safety cover.
“UKSA has the latest boards and sails and has some of the best windsurf coaches fresh back from teaching in Australia.
