Kanaha Slalom Series

Maui Sails and Carbon Art rider Phil McGain once again completely dominated the Maui Fin Company Kanaha slalom series in this final round. The conditions were lighter than the usual Maui trades with only 12 – 18 knot northerly wind. The confused swells made the racing particularly tricky in the lighter winds.

Phil McGain had this to say about the racing. ““Alex and Peter (Slate) pushed me today in both my divisions, it’s never over till it’s over and with these guys sailing so well I have to elevate my game to a higher intensity to stay ahead. I had good speed on my 58cm Carbon Art in the lighter conditions, so it gave me the confidence coming into the starts and nailed them just at the right time to give me the advantage at the first mark”.
