Student Windsurfers are planning to hold the world at ransom as their infamous festival of windsurfing, partying, learning to windsurf, partying, competing and erm, partying moves into its sixth season.

The SWA have got their act together with the help of a huge list of sponsors for Aussie Kiss 6ix (get the trendy misspelling of six, ooh tax payers, spelling, standards dropping and all that). For this year they have another sponsor in the form of Boohoi clothing.

The Aussie Kiss series is held at the start of the student year so that anyone from any student place can get involved whether they know anything about windsurfing or not. There is plenty of opportunity to learn with top instruction and coaching available. In fact if you are not a student it is well worth disguising yourself as one and joining in the fun. Very much the aim of the festival is to push the grass roots and foundation level of windsurfing to many who have not yet got involved.

This year in particular the SWA’s Festival of fun will also be ushering in the new SWA/Starboard & Tushingham Year of the Beginner 07-08, the festival will be the first in a whole series of events aimed at giving beginner windsurfers the biggest leg up possible into the heady realms of intermediate and more advanced windsurfing. Add to that the second year of the SWA/Naish women’s series, the SWA/RRD&Ezzy Wave series and the ongoing SWA/Boardwise Freestyle series, and there really is something to get every single one of you excited about this coming SWA year.

Highlights of the event this year will be record numbers of beginners and intermediates hitting the water under supervision from qualified instructors, an advanced fleet coached by Jim Collis, Olly Woodcock, Hugh Sims-Williams and Andy King, a women’s clinic to promote female windsurfing, freestyle and speed competitions, fundraising for Surfers Against Sewage, CO2 emissions offset through the company Climate Care and some would say the highlight of the event, the much anticipated Saturday night party featuring the bands: Monkey Militia, New Groove Formation and The Measure and a Wild Wild West Country fancy dress theme!

Aussie Kiss is run with help of the following sponsors:, Boardwise, Naish, Starboard & Tushingham, Bic Sport, RRD & Ezzy, Boohai, Roadford Reservoir, Bude Holiday Park, Olly Woodcock, Hugh Sims-Williams, Jim Collis, Andy King, Monkey Militia, New Groove Formation, The Measure, JP & Neil Pryde, Surfers Against Sewage, Climate Care, Windsurf and Boards.
