The finals of the UKWA Wave Title and Four Nations Cup series are fast approaching. The weekend of the 27th October sees the tour enter the final stages at West Wittering Windsurfing Club, hosted by Simon Basset.
After the classic side offshore down the line conditions of Tiree where Phil Horrocks just ousted Andy King to claim first place, the series moves to the side onshore windblown swell that West Wittering can offer.
So far Andy King is leading the rankings and needs a good result here to claim the UK title. Closest to him for the title are John Hibbard and if the results go well current holder, Ben Proffitt or John Skye. In South Coast conditions Andy King will be hard to beat, although an event victory has eluded him so far he is eager to put this right. Out of contention for the overall title, past winners Chris Audsley and previous Tiree winner Jamie Hancock will no doubt be on hand to shake up the rankings.
Following on from Tiree, a big turn out is expected. The pro fleet starts on Friday, whilst the open fleets all start on Saturday. There will be a good social on the Saturday night, so if you want a go at entering a competition or get involved in anyway then turn up at WWWC on the Friday.
The event is sponsored by 2XS, Ezzy, RRD and Da Kine.
